On Saturday 9th July SNR(S) held a special all-day conference to mark the 40th anniversary of the Falklands conflict. To our great regret Paul Brown our keynote speaker was confined to quarters with Covid but Mark Brady ably presented his talk, Abandon Ship – The real story of the sinkings in the Falklands War before giving his own on Naval Gunfire Support during the Falklands Campaign. After lunch Dr Victoria Woodman spoke on the experiences and memories of the wives of Falklands Royal Navy veterans followed by John Bingeman on Lessons Learnt & the Corporate Legacy. A panel discussion rounded off a varied and interesting day.
