At the invitation of the Society of Model Shipwrights several of our members joined them in a visit to Boathouse 4 at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard on 24th May. We had a close-up view of the replica Coastal Motor Boat 4 under construction and other projects in progress there, and the opportunity to discuss the extraordinary craftmanship that goes into them. This was followed by an enjoyably chatty lunch at the Boathouse 4 restaurant.
